The salespeople we train often forget about money concept, but it’s a very important hidden sales weakness.
You always hear “close more” or “prospect better”, but in reality, neither may be the issue. Your views on money can stop you from asking the right questions, bringing up money early, and even being proud of what you sell.
Many times people either:
- need more money, but are scared to get it
- are uncomfortable with talking about money
When it’s time to talk about money, your anxiousness about money can blow the sale entirely. Remember, 93% of communication is non-verbal, so body language alone can ruin everything if your money concept is off.
So, always keep this running through your mind: one sale will likely not bankrupt you or make you a millionaire. It is simply not THAT important.
Just take a breath and relax. Don’t let money be your downfall.
