By the way...Happy birthday Jim...my walking partner hit 33 today.... I gave him a piece of hard candy and we are going to find a place where we can get our own room tonight.

We really dread the down not the up. Started out today and heading down from Ocebrio. We are getting so close to our goals it is getting exciting we are really looking forward to today because after today we will have only a week left to Santiago. It is going to be a beautiful day. Some clouds...some sun. We have only really had 2 days of rain in almost 4 weeks.... unheard of. Our Albergue was packed last night...a few snorers.... thank goodness for earplugs.

I noticed and you can too by looking at my pictures that you must take great care in watching where you are walking or you will easily fall. In fact this is where most of the injuries happen and we don't want a twisted ankle after coming so far.

You have to take it slow on all the rocky paths, but more so if you are going downhill. The problem is that if we always are looking down at where we are walking we miss the wonderful full picture of where we are. I would feel safe by always looking down at where my feet are but by my pictures look at all the beauty I would miss if I didn't look up once in a while.

Just like most business owners we get trapped at looking down at the day to day tactical stuff and forget to look up once in a while at the big picture to see where we are going. Sales managers and salespeople who might have their head to the grindstone do you look up once in a while to see the big picture and if you are heading in the right direction. While we are working hard...lookup to see if you are going in the right direction.

We are spending the night in Triacastela....at the bottom of this mountain.

Lesson Learned:

There must be a balance of looking down and looking up. We need to track the day-to-day activity but we need to take time to make sure we are seeing the big picture.
