Woke up this morning already to do a long walk....the weather had its own idea.
Walked from 7:30-3:00 to this junction called Terradillos de Templarios. Why did we stop here? At 7:30 it was about 35 degrees, rainy, and wind at 20-30 miles an hour. While all the other times we have walked, there has been a cafe or something every 5 miles...not today. Just so everyone knows, you can buy the best waterproof rain pants, jacket, hat, boots, gloves...but after 7 hours of 20 mile an hour rain blown at you.... you will be very, very wet.
Lesson learned:
Something’s are out of your control...but that doesn’t mean you can’t do something about it! After one hour I could have turned back, I could have waved down a car, but I choose to continue on. Too often I hear sales people say to me, nothing I could have done to save the sale, the competition cut my price, and it was out of my control. But that is the wrong thinking, you should be thinking what I could have asked sooner to discover that they were price shopping and I wouldn't have wasted so much time. Take control over things you don't think you have control over.
