It was an early morning out of Burgos. 8am and 31 degrees.
Even though it was cold, it was a flat pleasant walk. We saw a lot of walkers and met up with a Canadian in Hornillo del Camino. A small town of 20 people. Two problems cropped up, Jim started to get a cramp on his left calf and the last 5 miles or so we slowly made it to this town. We had originally planned to go to the next town.... but there was no way he was going to make it. Then the other problem happened, due to the fact yesterday was Halloween.... today is a bigger Catholic holiday in Spain.... all saints day. So the two Hostels in this little sleepy village were sold out, while the church has some beds...we finally got cell phone reception and called the next town over. A bigger town, and we think we got a taxi on its way. We can only hope Jim’s leg will be ok tomorrow, if not he will cab it to the next town and I will walk it. 
Lesson Learned: The day can be a great day but then anything can happen. This is a great Sandler rule: When you think you have a sale.....be worried. Always reconfirm to make sure you have what you expect. We should have reconfirmed we would have a room tonight instead we will hopefully get a taxi to the next town.
