We left Navareete early this morning and stopped at a small town, POP 20, for some coffee. We made great time and made it to Najera by 1pm. It was one of the flattest walks we had a good pace on. We were going to try for 3-5 more miles, but Jim’s calf was causing him to limp. So it was best to stop and let the muscle repair. So we will stay in Najera at the Refuge Puerta de Najera if they have room.
Lesson learned:
When something is going wrong, stop and let the situation heal. I see this happen with sales people, they break rapport with a prospect, and instead of recognizing it and repairing, and they move forward and then wonder why they lost the sale. Same thing with CEOs, they lose rapport with their team and instead of mending rapport they move forward and then wonder why things aren’t moving the way they should. Repair the muscle before you keep walking!
