Great day and a short day. We decided to take it easy today and only walked about 13 miles. If not we would have to walk another 8 miles.
We started in los Arcos and walked to Viana. We started our walk with Chris and Nicole but they continued on for another 8 miles.
Lesson learned:
Small changes! We planned this for some time, buying the right shoes, clothes, mapping out each day. But the first day I started to feel the start of a blister so instead of waiting I took some advice from another walker who said wear two socks and that will keep your feet dry... And no blister. My backpack was really hurting the 2nd day and advice from another showed me how to adjust the pack to get the weight off my shoulders. Since this is Spain winter there are very few walkers, so we found out a lot of the smaller towns close all facilities for walkers and we had to remap our route.
How often do you make small changes in your company when things start to go wrong or do you wait for it to become a full blister? What about your salespeople are they constantly making small changes to adjust or just making excuses?
Interesting we have walked thru many towns over the last 6 days and they have been empty but on Saturday and Sunday everyone spends the day in the town center.
